Samphena Weah, MA, LAC, NCC is a Licensed Associate Counselor through the New Jersey State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy. She holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Caldwell University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, with minors in Women and Gender Studies, and Social Justice Studies from William Paterson University of New Jersey.
As a therapist at ITI-NJ, Samphena adopts a warm and engaged approach in her sessions to create a supportive therapeutic environment. Specializing in individual therapy, she addresses a broad range of therapeutic concerns, including anxiety, depression, interpersonal challenges, parenting, and emotional dysregulation. Samphena utilizes a diverse set of treatment modalities, incorporating client-centered approaches, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), mindfulness techniques, and strength-based strategies.
