Christina Tempio LPC, NCC, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Monmouth University, and a Master’s Degree in Addiction Counseling from Montclair State University. She is pursuing her Ph.D. in Counselor Education and Supervision – Addiction Counseling at Walden University. Christina is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) and is also a member of the American Counseling Association and the Association for Addiction Professionals.
Christina has extensive experience assisting young adults and adults dealing with mental health and behavioral/substance addiction challenges. Her background includes roles in outpatient settings and providing group and individual therapy. Christina has extensive training in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and specializes in adults with behavioral and substance addiction, anxiety, depression, and stress management. Christina utilizes a client-centered approach while incorporating DBT, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, and mindfulness practices to best support her clients. Christina strives to provide a space for clients that is judgment-free and a safe space to express themselves openly and freely.
