Benjamin M. Melendez, Psy.D. is a Clinical Psychologist at ITI-NJ. He received his doctorate and master’s degrees in Clinical Psychology from Regent University in Virginia Beach, VA in 2021. He also earned his BA from Eastern University in St. David’s, PA, where he majored in Psychology.
Benjamin has experience working with adolescents and adults in multiple settings including, correctional facilities, community mental health agencies, Veterans Affairs, and private practice. Benjamin utilizes various therapeutic techniques such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), Cognitive Processing Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) to assist clients in living a life that is experienced as increasingly meaningful and fulfilling. Benjamin has worked with people of various backgrounds who experience a range of problems including depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, panic, trauma, and substance use disorders. Benjamin is passionate about helping clients unlock their potential to experience the vitality of life and effectively operate through their difficulties.
