Mary McCann, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a Biology concentration from Bloomsburg State University. She received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from Kean University.
Mary has completed internships at several group homes where she worked with women and adolescents. She also completed an internship at a university campus where she worked with students in both individual and group settings.
Mary has experience working with clients struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, grief and interpersonal issues. Mary’s approach to treatment emphasizes cognitive therapy modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Interpersonal Therapy, and grief and trauma work. Mary also has certifications in personal training and exercise (CPT, CES) and uses holistic approaches, relaxation skills/techniques and mindfulness in helping clients develop and work towards goals in a safe, caring environment.
