Alexa Manley, MSW, LSW, is a Licensed Social Worker who earned her graduate degree from Rutgers University Graduate School of Social Work–Advanced Standing Program. She also has a Bachelor's in Social Work with a minor in Family Studies from James Madison University in Virginia.
Alexa specializes in working with children, adolescents, and families. She has several years of experience working for a school-based program, providing clinical services to students ages 5-10 years old. Alexa is well-versed in working with clients experiencing emotional dysregulation, ADHD, anxiety, anger management, trauma, depression, and self-esteem. Alexa also has experience helping clients navigate interpersonal issues and challenging family dynamics.
Alexa utilizes a variety of treatment modalities and theoretical frameworks including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Mindfulness, Strength-based approaches, Nurtured Heart Approach, and Play Therapy. Alexa emphasizes a client-centered and trauma-informed approach, and is passionate about providing identity-affirming and culturally responsive care. Alexa's goal is to provide her clients with a safe and supportive environment. Her warm, compassionate, and non-judgmental approach allows clients to feel empowered to work towards achieving their goals and becoming the best version of themselves. Alexa is supervised by Pamela Schott, LCSW.
