Ali Longo, MA, LAC is a Licensed Associate Counselor with a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Montclair State University. They have over five years experience in various mental health settings across New Jersey, including group homes, respite homes, domestic violence crisis centers, outpatient programs, partial hospitalization, and in-home services for children and families.
Ali has worked with clients of all ages, specializing in supporting those navigating neurodivergence, trauma, gender identity, sexuality, disability, sobriety and recovery, and intersecting identities. Ali is experienced in facilitating therapy for individuals and groups, and outside of the therapy rooms, has led workshops and seminars on topics related to marginalized communities, particularly queer individuals and mental health trends. Their therapeutic approach is eclectic, drawing from modalities such as attachment-based, trauma-informed, feminist, and narrative therapies.
As an out queer and neurodivergent person and lifelong artist and creative, Ali strives to bring empathy, authenticity, and creativity to their practice, helping clients explore their identities, values, and sense of empowerment. They also work with clients' families to provide psychoeducation and ongoing support. Ali is under the supervision of Aileen P. Torres, LPC.
