Shanique M. Curry, MS, LPC is a Licensed Professional Counselor (License #37PC00698800) in the state of New Jersey. She received her master’s degree in Community Mental Health Counseling from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY in 2013. She also earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Saint Peter’s University in Jersey City, where she majored in Psychology (with a clinical concentration) and minored in Sociology.
Shanique has over 10 years of experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in home settings, in intensive-outpatient settings, in multiple outpatient settings, and in private practice settings. She utilizes various therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy to assist clients in accessing their full potential and developing emotional well-being. She specializes in working with children, adolescents, and adults struggling with trauma-related matters and has worked people of various backgrounds who are survivors of sexual abuse, emotional abuse, domestic violence, and community violence. Shanique is also Certified in the treatment of Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder through Exposure Response Prevention Therapy.
After many years with the Integrative Therapy Institute of NJ, Shanique now has her own private practice and provides supervision to a number of Licensed Associate Counselors at ITI-NJ.
