Natalie Solan, LSW
Natalie Solan, LSW is a licensed social worker and received her Master’s Degree in Social Work from Arizona State University. She is licensed by the NJ State Board of Social Worker Examiners. Natalie is currently working under a licensed clinical supervisor at the Institute to gain required supervised hours for her LCSW license.
Natalie has extensive experience working with various populations having a variety of different psychological and emotional concerns. She began her career in an assisted outpatient treatment program working with individuals who needed therapeutic support in acclimating back to their prior lives after being psychiatrically hospitalized. Natalie also worked at a crisis center providing urgent mental health support services. In this position she provided psychotherapy aimed at assisting her clients develop effective coping skills to help stabilize them for long-term care. Natalie’s areas of expertise include anxiety, depression, self-harm, suicidal ideation, life-transitions, behavioral challenges as well as a variety of other mental health concerns.
Natalie’s approach to therapy is solution-focused, strengths-based, and person-centered. She helps her clients to recognize their inner strengths and resources and works to empower them to access these strengths in order to conquer difficulties in life. Natalie also helps her clients to clarify their goals and develop the habits and behaviors that will assist in achieving them. Natalie provides a safe space to discuss challenging topics and takes the time to build a meaningful connection with her clients. She actively listens to her clients’ concerns with patience and compassion as she helps them work towards achieving their therapeutic goals.
