For over 25 years, I've helped adults, children, and adolescents, with encouragement, coaching, and respect. I am committed to helping clients with a wide variety of issues including grief, anxiety, depression, ADHD, social issues, self-esteem, parenting, and divorce. Together, we can recognize your feelings, the stories behind these feelings, and your own goals. We can navigate through your pain so you can feel renewed confidence in coping with your difficult situations, and a sense of greater calmness.

My therapeutic approach blends cognitive-behavioral and psycho-dynamic therapy styles. With children, I also use play to help them develop coping skills and learn how to make and keep friends. Parents are closely involved in the process of helping their children.

I also work in the Montclair office.

I believe in providing evidence-based therapy in a collaborative and compassionate manner. I embrace the philosophy of understanding, acceptance, and empathy. I focus on strengths and successes to facilitate growth and movement toward goals. My clinical training and experience has included modalities such as Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, and other evidence-based treatments. I have expertise in the treatment of depression, anxiety, emotion, dysregulation, trauma, grief, and suicidality. I specialize in working with children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families who want to learn to manage intense emotions and build effective skills/relationships.

I was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) through Behavioral Tech, Marsha Linehan's Institute. Being mindful and fully engaged in the present, without judgment, is incorporated into my various therapeutic approaches and used as a way of overcoming stress and adjustment challenges. By increasing awareness, you can make sustainable changes in your life.

I believe therapy is a collaborative process that serves as a way to facilitate insight into one's past, learn to be in the present, and achieve one's future aspirations. I offer a free phone consultation to new clients to help decide if we are a good fit.

I also work in the Montclair office.
