The Integrative Therapy Institute of New Jersey (ITI-NJ) is a group practice in clinical and counseling psychology providing psychotherapy for individuals, families, and relationships. It was founded in 2010 by Dr. Thomas Blake Hollenbach and Dr. Edward Callaghan, both of whom are licensed clinical psychologists.
Dr. Hollenbach developed the treatment approach that is used and taught at ITI-NJ and is the Director of the Institute. Dr. Callaghan is the Director of Child Services. The staff includes an additional thirteen licensed clinicians, offering a variety of different specialties to the practice. You may read their individual profiles in Our Staff. We operate at two locations in New Jersey, one in Metuchen and the other in Montclair.
ITI-NJ serves adults, children and adolescents, and families. We offer individual psychotherapy, marriage and couples counseling, parent counseling, specialized treatment of math phobia, and classes in mindfulness meditation. We also offer a comprehensive array of psychological testing and evaluation services. All of our services are confidential. We also provide training and supervision for psychotherapists. Please see Our Services page for details.
The Institute uses an integrative model of psychology and psychotherapy developed by Dr. Hollenbach. The treatment model incorporates elements of cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), psychoanalysis, and counseling, and the theoretical model combines insights from CBT, psychoanalysis, neuroscience, and evolutionary psychology. Dr. Hollenbach is the author of the website materials, except where otherwise noted.
